Marriage is most commonly given the description of a union between two individuals of opposite gender. The standard roles and tasks of the husband and wife are comprised of living together, sharing economic resources, and being acknowledged as having parental responsibilities.

The American Civil Rights Act of 1964( prohibiting race-based discrimination ) was a revolutionary occurrence in American history, but the path to its legislation was both extensive and costly.

Various actions directed at halting regional segregation laws, which isolated blacks from schools, transportation, restaurant, and parks were attempted from the latter 1800s. 受動態の分詞構文「Being+過去分詞」

ちょっと文法で気になった点があったので調べてみた。しばらく勉強していないと忘れる。そういえばそんなのあったな～といった感じ。受動態の分詞構文「being+過去分詞」ってやつ。Beingは省略して過去分詞からでもOKらしい。

Being confined to separate islands over time, the foxes first evolved into a distinct species from the mainland fox, and then into additional subspecies for each of the six islands that they inhabit.

長い間別々の島にいたので、最初にキツネは本土のキツネとは別の種に進化し、そこに生息する6つの島のそれぞれの亜種に進化しました。

基本的に、分詞構文とは、分詞(-ing,-edなど)を用いて、簡潔に表現する表現なので、分詞構文を使わないで、書くとこんな感じかな。
